Lindenhurst Train Show

Well, I'm starting 2010 the way I ended 2009 - tried to get in the Lindenhurst show late and they are SOLD OUT! My next show is already signed up for, so you can be sure I'll be in Dover, NJ January 24th!
Since I did make plans to meet some Buzzers at the Lindenhurst show, I will be there as a visitor between noon and 1PM. If you want to connect up (I'll have my car loaded with Kato N scale Unitrack and most other show items), come on by. Just give a jingle on my cell (914-309-2395) and you should find me easily.
I've been watching ExactRail and plan to show some of their items in Dover. Their N scale detail rivals museum quality brass models. Also, the Rapido N Scale passenger cars, with battery-powered LED lighting, are coming along.

Bachmann N GE 44 Ton gets great review -

My copy of Model Railroad News, the monthly news for model railroaders, arrived today. A lead-in on the front cover indicated they had a review of Bachmann's GE 44-Tonner and I couldn't wait to read the review. It comes with DCC installed!.

Since it's a Bachmann Spectrum model, the detail and look for N Scale is great. As Model Railroad News noted in a paragraph entitled "Running the Centercab":

"Let me put it to you simply: you won't find a comparably sized mass-produced locomotive of this quality anywhere, and it would take a master modeler to produce a homebuilt runner this good. Bachmann's centercab is a strong entry into the N-scale market and I encourage N scalers to give the new 44 Tonner a try."

And, of course, Buzz Hollow Railroad is offering this unit, with a retail price of $100 (with DCC installed!) with a great discount to Buzz Hollow customers. Check out the specs on my website and/or email me for a delivered price. Bachmann keeps making model railroading fun and affordable!

Well, my website is almost fully functional. I will be listing scheduled local train events as well as those shows I will be selling at. And I'll keep you up to date on new items I've stocked as well.
Please come visit in 2010 (coming soon) and let me know how I can improve it. Or let me know how much you like it - that would be great too.

All the best for 2010 -

Hank
